Creative, Confident Communities

Community-led art and creativity

B arts, Artcity Stoke

Culture and creativity bring people together and strengthen communities. They are intrinsic to how we understand and express values, experiences, meaning and hopes for the future.

The shared vision that results from community-led, cross-sector collaboration demonstrates the potential of creative partnerships in delivering social, environmental, and economic wellbeing.

What we want to achieve:

We're working towards three long-term outcomes:

  1. Local people and local artists lead creative and cultural activity in their communities.
  2. A collaborative approach to creativity and culture enables people to work together to strengthen their community.
  3. Local and regional cultural strategies are shaped by citizens and impact wider decision making and agendas for change.

If you are interested in applying for funding under this priority, please see our guidance for support.
