One of our priorities to improving our natural world is fishing in tandem with nature. To help our work in this area, we commissioned this report to better understand the role that we can play in UK aquaculture - not just as a funder and investor, but using all the tools we can. UK aquaculture is an area that we're less familiar with so it was also an opportunity for us to learn and gain an insight into the sector - including the risks and opportunities.
We hope that this report will also be helpful and insightful to those that are interested or work in this area, to the diverse range of individuals and organisations working to ensure a better future for UK marine, and for the island and coastal communities that are closest to our seas.
We're grateful to Melanie Siggs and Key Traceability for their work in researching and writing the report.
