Unlocking change

Gendered Intelligence

Gendered Intelligence is a trans-led organisation working to ensure that trans, non-binary, gender-diverse and gender-questioning people can live healthy, safe and fulfilled lives. They aim to support everyone to be more intelligent about gender by bringing understanding, cross-sector working, and a grassroots youthwork perspective to their engagement.

Gendered Intelligence’s work focuses on three areas: providing direct support and wellbeing services to trans people; a range of professional and educational services; and public engagement to help build understanding around issues affecting trans people. By connecting their strands of work, they can support trans people in leading change so that legislation, policy and practice better reflects the needs of trans people.

By taking a collaborative, open and non-judgemental approach, they aim to enable nuanced discussion in what can be a very challenging environment. As one of the largest trans-led organisations, they are also thought leaders in this area and regularly provide advice to smaller, regional trans organisations.
