Open Data

We believe in the potential of open data.

With better information, funders can be more effective and strategic decision-makers.

We publish our grants and social investments via 360Giving, an initiative that aims to help UK funders publish their data in an open and standard format online.

Why open data?

We believe in the potential of open data. With better information, funders can be more effective and strategic decision-makers.

We have published our data online in a searchable database since 2012, and always include a full list of our funding in our Annual Reports. By publishing our data in an open format through 360Giving, it can be shared and compared more easily. 360Giving provides support for funders to publish their grants data openly, to understand their data, and to use the data to create online tools that make grant-making more effective.

We grant-fund 360Giving because we think the data it collates can form the basis of new tools that everyone - those seeking funding as well as those looking to make grants and investments - can use to understand and improve giving in the UK.
