The TFGMI is an example of collaboration and partnership of achieving lasting change. It was able to bring funders together (including EFF), influenced policies and practices and often empowered communities that are isolated in order to build local change. Since 2010, the initiative has offered the largest non - governmental source of funding for work to prevent FGM across the UK. Over the six years since 2010, significant policy changes have been achieved.
