Learning from our funding

As a broad-ranging funder, we are not expert on every issue and sector we support. The real experts are the organisations we fund. However, we know that as an independent funder we have an overview and freedom which others do not. With this freedom comes the responsibility to share what we are learning.

We ask everyone we fund to report on the progress of their work to find out how the grant is going and understand what difference it’s making; but also so that we can learn how to support organisations, their beneficiaries, and the wider sector better in future.
