Community Foundation - Esmée Fairbairn North East Fund

This fund is now closed. The fund was operational from March 2013 to April 2015 and made 32 grants totalling £463,650.

Esmée Fairbairn Foundation is working with the Community Foundation serving Tyne & Wear and Northumberland in a new grant-making partnership providing £500,000 in support for communities in the North East.

The Esmée Fairbairn North East Fund is open to applications from 4 March 2013 for groups working in areas of deprivation in the North East from Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, County Durham and Tees Valley. It is for small and medium sized community groups, defined as those with an income of between £50,000 and £250,000.

Grants up to a maximum of £30,000 will be for work in the arts, education, environment and social change. The scheme is intended to run over three years from 2013 -2015 and will be managed by the Community Foundation.
