Landlife's work is varied, but what really caught our eye is their work on urban meadows.

The meadows are mainly in towns and cities in north-west England and are on derelict or unused land in the centre of communities with very little other environment resource.  The colour explosion from the flowers lifts spirits, engages people with nature, and provides precious food for insects.  Landlife's work making the growing medium for the meadows from recycled construction and carpet waste is a further interesting environmental aspect of their work.

This grant fits our environment priorities under Connecting people with nature, and our aims as work which builds collective networks.
